Thinking back, I realize I have always been very visually oriented, especially interested in beautiful and meaningful images. Working and traveling around the world, I have had the opportunity to view many of the world's best paintings. These experiences provided my inspiration to paint.

I continue to study the techniques of the great painters of the past. My favorites include Rembrandt, Degas, Manet, Sargeant and Homer. I find making copies of their work and that of other masters to be very instructive and centering in my own painting.
